Bin JIA (PhD)

Founding Director and Chief Mathematician

Bin is experienced in mathematical modelling and data science across a wide range of industries such as finance, healthcare, real estate, product pricing, scheduling, horse racing, fishery science, etc.

Bin obtained a PhD in mathematics at The University of Melbourne, a Master’s degree in applied mathematics at Nankai University, and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science at Civil Aviation University of China.

Bin was awarded the national first prize in a mathematical competition in China.

Bin introduced a brand new graph called the double-star graph. A referee from Journal of Graph Theory states that Bin’s independent work is a significant contribution in algebraic graph theory. Bin also introduced the link graph as a generalisation of a special case of the double-star graph. A referee from Journal of Graph Theory states that this work generalised the proof for Hadwiger’s Conjecture for line graphs of multigraphs by Paul Seymour (Alfred Baldwin Dod Professor of Mathematics, Princeton University) and Bruce Reed (Canada Research Chair in Graph Theory, McGill University).

Robin LUO (PhD)

Senior Researcher

Robin holds a PhD at The University of Hong Kong, and a Master’s degree at Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Specialised in Machine Learning and Deep Learning, Robin has participated in many State 863 Program Projects. He obtained two patents and published papers in top journals including IEEE TSP, TCOMM, TWC and TVT, and top conferences such as GLOBECOMM and ICS.

Robin has rich experiences in real estate, anti-spam system, speech transform and synthesis systems, image retrieval system, smart albums, advertising CTR prediction system and video recommendation system.

Tim LIU (MSE)

Development Engineer

As a member of Engineers Australia, Tim holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at The University of Melbourne. Tim also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Measurement and Control Technology and Instrumentation at Chongqing University.

Tim is skilled in both software programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Matlab, Microsoft Office, Altium, Lab VIEW, etc and hardware programming tools including PCs, PCB Board Designing, DSP Board, etc. He has extensive experiences in image recognition and achieved a recognition rate as high as 94% in character segmentation and recognition.

Eillen NI (BSc)

Modelling Analyst – Healthcare

Eillen holds a Bachelor’s degree from West China Center of Medical Sciences of Sichuan University. She had extensive experiences in healthcare at Tianjin Union Medicine Center.

Eillen achieved a national prize in a mathematical competition in China. She is responsible for modelling of healthcare solutions.

Eillen obtained national certificates in Computer and English. She is extremely familiar with Windows Operating System, Information Searching Engines, Web Applications, and Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint. As a bilingual, she is a master of both Mandarin and English.
